About Kylie

In her early twenties, Kylie immersed herself in a lineage of medical qìgōng presented by the late Grandmaster Choa Kok Sui. Her training was under the guidance of his disciple, Jenett Ashley, and included studies along with healing clinics and meditations around the city of Vancouver. During this time she was managing a Chinese Medicine clinic. Every day she saw patients come into the clinic, receive an acupuncture treatment, then leave with a renewed vigour of body and spirit. Here she began to fall in love with the theories of Chinese medicine, all while watching the physical, mental, and emotional changes that the medicine had on patients of the clinic. This experience stoked a burning desire continue her studies of medical qìgōng by pursuing formal training in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. In 2020, she graduated with summa cum laude honours from the Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine diploma program at Pacific Rim College in Victoria, B.C., and relocated back to the Okanagan Valley to serve the community that she was born and raised in. Here she practices acupuncture, herbal medicine, and medical qìgōng energy work. The guiding philosophy for her practice is to provide a safe, inclusive, compassionate, and empowering space for individuals to be seen and heard, to decompress, and to blossom into their greatest vision for themselves.

Kylie was raised in the lakes, in the valleys, and in the mountains of the South Okanagan, and like most others in this beautiful region, her heart is most joyful when in nature. Chinese medicine is rooted in Daoist philosophy, which is based on observations of the natural world. Spending time immersed in nature invariably allows her to learn more about Chinese medicine, and about herself. Hiking, skiing, rock climbing, practicing qìgōng, and backcountry camping are her favorite ways to be in nature. When not in nature or the clinic, she is most likely snuggling her cats while reading about Chinese medicine. She is also extremely fortunate to spend her time outside of clinic coordinating Jīngfāng Herbal Clinic Retreats and the Jīngfāng Mentorship & Community for Chinese Medicine Classics, as well as doing book design and editing for Chinese Medicine Classics Publishing. She also teach students how to study for the herbal licensing exams for Pacific Rim College Online's Herbal Bootcamp program

About Kimberley

Kimberley's story begins with a traumatic childhood incident that shifted her perspective of the world. Losing people she loved at a young age made her value the beauty and preciousness of life. It became her purpose to live a life of meaning and joy and to be in service to others who are suffering, whether physically, emotionally, or spiritually.

She began my practice after receiving her massage therapy diploma in 2003. This was the opening to begin working with people on a more intimate and deeper level. It allowed her unique gifts of viewing and feeling the subtleties of the body, mind, and spirit to emerge.

Over the past 20 years, she has built upon her knowledge through various courses and certifications. The main scope of her practice is currently The Medicine Path. She continue to study under her elder and spiritual teacher, Jaki Daniels, of Earth and Sky Healing.

In addition to her healing practice, she is a ceremonial guide, mentor, and teacher within her community.

Chinese herbal medicine utilizes many classical formulas which are thousands of years old. Leaves, twigs, roots, stems, barks, flowers, seeds, mushrooms and more are utilized for their therapeutic action on the qì, blood, yīn and yáng of the body.

medical qìgōng

Pranic Healing is a style of medical Qigong that uses prana or qi to accelerate the body's natural healing processes. According to the Pranic Healing philosophy, diseases first appear as disruptions in the energy field (or biofield) before manifesting as ailments in the physical body. This energy healing modality focuses on increasing vital energy to the affected part of the physical body to aid in the bodies innate healing process.
